Contest Theme

“The Tri-Five Years” - any vehicle from 1955, 1956, or 1957

 

Admission Fees

 Adults  $3.00   (under 12 free)

Early Bird Swap Meet Admission  $10.00

Contest Entry Fees

Adults - $2.00 for each vehicle entered

Juniors - Free

 

Schedule

7 am - 9 AM          Vendor Set Up

8 AM                        Early Bird Admission to Swap Meet ($10)

9 AM                        Swap Meet opens to public

9 AM - Noon         Contest Registration

3 PM                        Awards Ceremony

4 PM                        End of Show

 

Awards Categories (29 total)

1.   Junior 1 Open Class - Ages 8 & under all work must be done by entrant

2.   Junior 2 Open Class - Ages 9-12, all work must be done by entrant

3.   Teen Open Class - Ages 13-18, all work must be done by entrant

Adult Division

4.   Out of Box - kit parts only; paint, foil, decals, flocking are OK

5.   Modified Out of Box - parts from other kits OK, no after-market parts

6.   Showroom Stock - factory produced vehicles like when they were new

7.   Street Rod - from 1948 and earlier

8.   Street Machine - from 1949 to present day

9.   Custom - from any era with body modifications to give a unique appearance

10.  Lowriders/Tuners - self-explanatory

11.  Competition:  Circle Track/Road Course - self-explanatory

12.  Competition: Straight Line - self-explanatory

13.  Light Commercial - service vehicles with 1 ton or less capacity

14.  Heavy Commercial - service vehicles with over 1 ton capacity

15.  Small Scale - 1:26 scale or smaller

16.  Large Scale - 1:23 scale or larger

17.  Pro Street - competition inspired but street legal, must have mufflers and plates

18.  Curbside/Slammer - judged as if parked at the curb, no interior, engine ,or chassis detail

19.  Diorama - no electricity provided (may have battery power), no larger than 12 sq. ft.

20.  Motorcycle - 2 or 3 wheeled vehicles of any scale

21.  Miscellaneous - any vehicle that does not fit into any other class

22.  Work in Progress - This class is display only and will not be judged.

23.  Best Engine

24.  Best Detail

25.  Best Paint

26.  Best Interior

of all types, styles, and scales!

 

There is no entry fee for scale models

Model drop-off times are:

Saturday, September 6 - 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Sunday, September 7 - 10:00 AM - Noon

Entry Classes:

1. Junior—entrant 12 and under

2. Senior—entrant 13 to 17

3. Box Stock– any subject using kit parts only (flocking, foil, decals are ok, no after-market parts)

4. Original—any subject that represents any showroom stock vehicle - no modifications

5. Modified– any subject modified from original vehicle

6. Competition– any race inspired vehicle

7. Truck– any pickup to tractor trailer rig

8. Open– any subject that doesn't fit into any other category

 

Model Contest in conjunction with the “Last Fling ‘Till Spring” Car Show on Main St. in West Pointe

 

(Note– past winning models are not eligible to compete, but are encouraged to bring models for everyone to enjoy.)
